Ask and you shall receive - sort of. Gmail isn't going to do RSS - but Google Reader will. Here's the announcement from the Google blog. I'm going to run both FeedDemon and Google Reader in parallel for a while and will report back.

That was quite interesting, to have this reader be launched without anyone in the blogosphere anticipating it. Anyway, I think this is a great first version. Bloglines has been somewhat buggy recently, so maybe it’s a good time to move on.
